On Your Mark Photography is excited to announce that they have been chosen as the official photographer of the 2010 Illinois State Level 4 Gymnastics Meet hosted by Elk Grove Gymnastics School. The meet will be held March 27th and 28th at the Forest View High School in Arlington Heights, IL. Professional photographers will be covering beam and floor, with photos being uploaded after every flight to the on-site viewstations. This means shortly after your gymnast has competed, her photos are available for you to view!

Once again, a special price on the full-resolution photo CDs will also be available when purchased on-site, with a savings of over $15 when compared to purchasing online.

In eight sessions over two days, On Your Mark Photography took over 46,000 photos (almost 220 GB!) covering Bars, Beam, and Floor for more than 660 gymnasts at the 2010 Illinois State Level 6 and Level 7 meet hosted by Energym Sports Complex March 13th and 14th at the Chick Evans Field House at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL. St. Valentine's Classic 2010 - A Success!

18 sessions.
Over 1100 gymnasts.
Over 47,000 photos.

That is the numeric summary of the St. Valentine's Classic 2010, held at the (new) Lake County Fairgrounds building in Grayslake, IL, on February 6th and 7th. The host gym, Gymnastics Spot, put on a great meet, and smiles were on everyones' faces. Well, OK, many of the gymnasts were concentrating so hard on sticking their landing that perhaps a smile wasn't on it at that time, but once they finished their apparatus, the smile came out!

Generally, I list all the gyms that participated, but that would be a long, long list. Suffice it to say that On Your Mark Photography was there in force, with 6 photographers, capturing the moments for both girls and boys gymnastics.

In fact, the photos can be found here. And until February 24th, the onsite CD special of $50 will be honored online as well, so order now to save $20!

Announcing the St. Valentine's Classic 2010 Gymnastics Meet!

On Your Mark Photography is excited to announce that they will be providing exclusive action photography for the 2010 St. Valentine's Classic gymnastics meet hosted by Gymnastics Spot and held at the Lake County Fairgrounds in Grayslake, IL, on Feb 6th through 7th.

With approximately 1200 gymnasts on three gyms, we're certain that the cheering will be loud and the scores high! In addition to both boys and girls gymnastics, Special Olympics gymnasts will also be competing on Sunday.

As always, On Your Mark Photography will provide multiple photographers with onsite viewstations during the meet. Within a few days, the expected 45,000 photos will also be available online on the days following. Check back here later to check for online status.

On Your Mark Photography has been chosen to be the official photographer of the SCGA Classic 2010 hosted by St. Charles Gymnastics Academy on January 30th at their facility in St. Charles, IL. While this is the inaugural SCGA Classic meet, St. Charles Gymnastics has hosted many successful Cupid's Twist meets over its history.

As always, prints, collages, posters and full-resolution CDs will be available. On-site viewstations may be available, but as always, photos will be available online.

St. Nick Invite 2009 - Photo Gallery Open (kinda)

The photo gallery from the 2009 St. Nick Invite is now available for viewing... well, mostly. As of the time of this post, the server was still parsing the over 30,000 photos, but was well into Session 5. So if you competed in Sessions 1 through 4, your photos are available now!

St. Nick Invite - What a meet!

The St. Nick Invite ended late Sunday night at the NIU Field House in DeKalb. Both an exciting and tiring event for all the participants and spectators... and the photographers, too! Over 30,000 photos were taken over the 9 sessions covering levels 4 through 10. Every spectator, coach, judge, and gymnast left with a smile on their face--many off to a good meal after a hard session.

So many gyms participated, I'm going to try to list them all, but if I forgot yours, I apologize now!

Phyllis Matras Invitational

Over 280 gymnasts competed Nov 7-8 at the Palatine Park District gym in the Palatine Gymnastics Club's Phyllis Matras Invite, and On Your Mark Photography was there to capture the event. Gyms from around the area competed in their first meet of the season, with many qualifying for state in their respective levels already!

Online orders will be fulfilled once all print orders have been shipped and all collages and posters proofed.

The meet will be held November 7th and 8th, at the Palatine Park District building in Palatine, IL. That's right, we're two weeks into soccer season at Crystal Lake Soccer Federation, and gymnastics and cheer are coming right around the corner! Weekends are starting to book up, so if you're interested in having On Your Mark Photography shoot your meet, now's the time to contact us!

Wisconsin State Optionals - Shipping Update

A quick note: all CDs order at the event have been shipped out. Given the shipping times around here, you should have already received the CD. If you haven't, please let us know.

All normal prints (non-commemorative, non-poster) have been sent to the lab for printing. We're expecting to start shipping the photos to the parents on Saturday, with the remainder shipping on Monday.

Commemorative prints are currently being designed, and if you ordered one, you can expect to receive a proof via e-mail within the next few days.

Posters will start being designed on Monday, with proofs being e-mailed starting Wednesday.

Note that for commemorative collages and posters, your order is not sent into the lab for printing until you have approved the proof. We also reserve the right to wait to send several collages or posters to the lab as a group, and therefore may delay the order a few days.

CDs and prints will all have been received well within the 2 to 4 weeks after order window. Commemorative collages should also be received within this window, provided fast approval of the proof. Posters are 4 to 6 weeks.

Wisconsin State Optionals - Gymnastics 2009

On Your Mark Photography covered the 2009 Wisconsin State Optionals (gymnastics) at Concordia University, Mequon, WI, on April 4 and 5. After over 24,500 photos, countless CDs printed, burned, and shipped, the photos are finally online for friends and family that couldn't make the meet or couldn't stay to view the photos on our viewstations.

We'd like to thank the host gym, La Fleur's Gymnastics for inviting us to photograph this meet. From level 7 through 10, the gymnasts put on a fantastic meet, and I know I was impressed by many of the competitors. (If you were there, I was shooting Floor, and I know I applauded for several floor routines!)

On Your Mark Photography would like to thank Spring Hill Gymnastics for inviting us out to shoot their first "Thanks to You!" Co-Ed Classic gymnastics meet this past weekend, November 15-16.

The photos from all the sessions are up (or on their way to being up as this is written) for viewing here. Due to the sheer number of photos taken, the automated upload once again had an issue overnight. The uploader has been restarted (with some manual assistance) so if you don't see your team or session up right now, check back in the morning.

Remember, special commemorative "Thanks to You!" border prints are available for this meet. Turn that photograph from a reminder into a keepsake.

Egads! Is it November already? Crystal Lake Soccer is over for the Fall season, and it's already time for gymnastics; my how the months fly by!

On Your Mark Photography has been chosen to cover Spring Hill Gymnastic's "Thanks to You!" Co-Ed Classic gymnastics meet November 15 and 16, at their facility in Elgin.

In addition to the normal action prints, On Your Mark Photography will be offering commemorative prints as well. Choose any action shot for a commemorative 5x7 or 8x10. Here's an example:

After a (somewhat) restful summer spent watching the Olympics, it's time for both fall soccer and gymnastics to start again. Crystal Lake Soccer Federation games start Saturday, September 6. Spring Show Update

Oops! Seems I forgot to post an update after the Spring Hill Gymnastics Spring Show shoot. The five sessions over two days were full of budding gymnasts showing off their newly acquired skills for friends and family. From the 2-year old Twinkling Stars to the soon-to-be new level 4 team gymnasts, everyone put out their all for the show.

I had two quick shots from the first session on Saturday to upload, but for some reason the blog engine won't upload them, so I'll add it in later.

At the posed photoshoot for the gym, several parents inquired about the "All Team" photo which was taken at the end. I will have those available for purchase shortly, and will e-mail the league with the information for them to pass out to the parents. If you're a parent and haven't received the e-mail within the next week, drop me an e-mail and I'll get the link to you directly.
