Soccer season starts April 12

I was hoping to get another announcement here, but I'm waiting for the final details to get worked out before I announce it, so....

The Crystal Lake Soccer Federation Spring season starts officially on April 12. On Your Mark Photography will once again be providing action photography services.

This Spring season I may test out a new "all-digital" photo package, where parents can buy a DVD with all photos taken instead of individual 5x7 prints as previous seasons. This digital package would be based on a pre-pay system: the parents pay ahead of time and pick the game they want photographed, and I would provide a DVD with all shots taken. Typically, in a U7 or higher game, over 300 photographs make the final cut. That's a lot of shots!

If you want more information, please drop me an e-mail.

New custom items on the horizon

Here at On Your Mark Photography, I'm working on coming up with new custom products for the action photo coverage offered for leagues, tournaments, or other events. Currently, we offer two unique products:

The Magazine Cover
(available in 8x10 or 16x20)

The Sports Ticket
(available in 3.5x7)

These products are custom designed and not one of those purchased templates you'd find other photographers selling. (In fact, I've had other photographers ask if they could purchase my designs!)

But never wanting to be sitting on my laurels for too long (because it's not that comfortable!), I'm working on some new posters.

Here's a sample of one of the first I offered at the gymnastics meet mentioned in the previous blog:

This is just a rough draft of the type of poster I'm working on. If you're interested in purchasing a poster (available in a number of sizes up to and including 20"x30"!), please let me know, and I'll work with you as a Beta Tester. :)

Enough for tonight.

You see tomorrow.

Spring Hill Gymnastics Co-Ed Classic

Bars. Beam. Floor. Rings. Vault.

What do these have in common? Gymnastics!

On Your Mark Photography was the official photographer of the Spring Hill Gymnastics Co-Ed Classic held in Elgin, IL, on January 5th and 6th.

This fantastic gymnastics meet featured several local gymnastics clubs:
  • American Academy
  • Arena Gymnastics
  • Energym
  • Gymkhana
  • GymNasti
  • Naperville Gymnastics
  • Palatine Gymnastics Club
  • Rolling Meadows Park District
  • Schaumburg Park District
  • and the host, Spring Hill Gymnastics

As illustrated by the concentration of the gymnast on the beam above, the competition was fierce and every gymnast tried their best to place on the podium. I had a blast photographing this meet

Parents interested in purchasing photos from the event should go to the Events page on the main On Your Mark Photography page, and choose the Spring Hill Gymnastics Co-Ed Classic link to find the online galleries.

If you're hosting a gymnastics competition and are looking for professional photography services, please contact me via the Contact button on the main page.

I'm so excited about my next gymnastics meet I'm shooting. Details will follow in a few days, I promise!

The First Time

Well, this is the first entry for the On Your Mark Photography blog. The goal is to update visitors to the site on what events On Your Mark Photography will be photographing in the upcoming weeks.

Once I get the bugs worked out of the system, I'll have some good news for the readers!
